Shakespeare By The Sea – July 9

 In

Now in its 32nd year, The Palm Beach Shakespeare Festival is proud to present its Company premiere of “Shakespeare’s most dangerous play” – RICHARD II. The original Succession story, RICHARD II tells of a ruler, crowned at an early age, whose poor leadership leads to a loss of faith in the governance of the realm. Featuring some of the richest language in the early modern canon, one scene from the play was used during Shakespeare’s time to incite a rebellion against the crown itself, forcing it to be banned from the original quarto. Centuries later, this tale of the dangers of absolute power continues to resonate with audiences across the globe, and throughout the ages.

Club Braman members are invited to a wine & cheese reception from 6:30pm until 7:45pm, prior to the 8:00pm performance on July 9th. This is an all ages event (21+ ID required for wine). Member can register with up to 3 guests.

The Shakespeare by the Sea XXXII production of RICHARD II takes place July 7 – 10 and 14 – 17 at the Seabreeze Amphitheater in Carlin Park, located at 750 S. A1A , Jupiter, FL 33477.
